I have another sad story for you today, but thank goodness this one has a fairly happy ending.

A baby girl was found abandoned on a stoop in Queens.  She had been left in a shoebox alongside two roses.  Police think the location may have been chosen because there were children’s toys outside the residence.  The child was not harmed, but police are still looking for the mother.  As you know, any parent who leaves their child in an unapproved, unsafe location is subject to criminal charges.  It is impossible to fathom what could have become of this child.  She is very, very lucky indeed.
