The article I want to feature today is purely opinion, but I really like what Susan Reinhardt has written.
She offers her perspective on mothers who kill their children, a subject right up our alley here at One By One Safe Haven. I have to agree with her. While postpartum depression is a real thing and I will not diminish the agony of its effects, I also agree that it can never completely relinquish a murderer from responsibility. I do not think that they should be put to death since they were mentally ill (Personally, I am not a fan of capital punishment anyway.), but harsher penalties should be used for anyone who has a premeditated plan and murders a child, in my opinion.
