I enjoyed this article and I think all you fans of Safe Haven out there will, too.
The catalyst for the article was the story we reported on from Hendersonville, NC. A mother walked into the Bi-Lo and left her newborn in the bathroom trashcan. The author, Diane Dimond, goes on to give suggestions as to where Safe Haven Laws should be promoted. She suggests school newspapers, gas stations, fast food restaurants, and other places where young girls tend to frequent.
It really is a great idea if we could get more businesses on board. It takes a lot of money to print up hundreds of fliers to help get the information on Safe Haven out to people, but it only takes a few cents for each company to print one flier. I truly wish more people would take it upon themselves to promote the safety of babies.
