Wow. I have never heard a story quite like this.
A woman left her child in the care of a babysitter and police are calling it abandonment. Confused? Well, the babysitter had a family emergency and called the mother to come pick up her child. The mother refused and expected the babysitter to find an alternative. So, the sitter called the police and the Department of Child Services picked up the child because no one could locate the mother. The sitter had not gotten appropriate contact information as to where the mother could be found.
