Need more instruction on how to safely give up a newborn? Read this article. It is a great example.
A friend of the child’s mother took a newborn under 30 days old to a Meriden, Connecticut hospital and dropped her off. The child showed no signs of abuse and was safely handed over to authorities that can find a proper home for her. This is not an absolutely ideal situation. Ideally, it is best for the mother to drop her baby off to be sure she has not suffered any complications from her delivery. Hospitals also like to ask the mother to give her medical history purely for the baby’s benefit. Yet, if the mother is too scared, she may elect an agent to drop off the baby instead.
I’m glad this baby is safe and sound.
