A baby who did not get a happy ending is not even able to get a proper funeral according to this article. The child was abandoned by its mother in a dumpster a few months ago. The medical examiner attempted to reach out to the mother several times regarding the details of the child’s birth and death. After no response was given, funeral arrangements for the infant were made. The funeral has now been postponed because the mother –currently incarcerated awaiting trial- all of a sudden has now decided she wants to attend.
What do you think? Does she have a right to attend her daughter’s funeral? Or does reckless homicide negate any parental rights at this point? We would love to hear your thoughts.
