Who knew April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month? We did! But somehow, our post didn’t make it to publish! Nevertheless, Child abuse prevention doesn’t stop in April so we wanted to pass along this information anyway.
Today’s article reviews how local agencies are raising awareness for this issue. It also reviews a bit of the history of the Abandoned Infant Protection Act which was, of course, important legislation for those committed to ending child abuse. The article was created specifically for those in the New York area, but there are many ways you can help if you are outside the Big Apple.
