This is a new one for me.  A mother is facing charges of killing her newborn though no child has been found.

Seem strange?  Well the mother admitted to giving birth to a baby but refuses to tell police where it is.  The police department has been searching the area around where she gave birth, but as time passes hope of finding the child alive lessens.  Is it just me or is this even worse than a typical abandonment?  If there is absolutely ANY chance that this child is alive, this mother should be given a much harsher punishment.  If the child dies or is never found when that mother could have at least told police where she put it… I have no words.
