I have a short update on the article I last wrote about regarding the newborn found in a garbage chute.

The mother’s name is Laquasia Wright and she was 18 at the time of the incident.  She has been charged with attempted murder and endangering the welfare of a child.  Police say it is possible that the baby had been in the garbage chute up to 12 hours before being found.
