The story we reported on last week regarding the infant found outside an apartment laundry room appears to have been solved.
Police have identified the mother as Orenthia McCuller, 21. She is being charged with unlawful conduct toward a child and bond has been set at $40,000. We will see how the case goes, but as of right now there seems to be few surprises that could come up that could justify leaving the child in an unsafe location. As we all know, Safe Haven laws would have ensured that had she left the child at an approved location, the baby would have stayed safe and she would not currently be in jail.
