I am often confused about why there are so many young people who are completely ignorant about Safe Haven Laws. It seems to me that the information is everywhere. This article puts forth the idea that information is not transmitted to young people today in the same way as previous generations.
Our elders learned most things through word-of-mouth. Today, social media is the prevailing grapevine. Apparently, information on these laws is not discussed by these means. Much more effort needs to be made to get the information out there… in places where at risk teens will be sure to see it.
