It is exactly the sort of information we report here at One By One Safe Haven and it is always nice to hear someone else who shares our passion on this issue. One point in particular that I like is when she brings up the “Just Say No” slogan. She points out that it did not work on the war on drugs. Why should it work to promote abstinence?
Many teenagers are emotional, hormonal, rebellious, pleasure-seeking creatures. They will have sex even given how much society tries to prevent it. The only thing parents and teachers can do is make sure they are doing everything they can to ensure it is safe and the decision is an informed one. Even then, there will still be accidents. That is where distribution of information on Safe Haven Laws must be encouraged. There are options. We do not want child endangerment to be one of them.
