A baby boy was honored in Horry County recently. He died more than 3 years ago, but residents hope the memorial service will remind everyone that Safe Haven laws still exist and there is no excuse for what happened to the boy. They also hope the service will somehow trigger a detail in someone’s mind as the culprit has still not been apprehended.
Safe Haven laws were in effect at the time of his death and he would have survived had he received prompt medical care. Unfortunately, in this case as in so many others, that did not happen.
