19- year- old Kaitlin Norton obviously had no idea Safe Haven Laws existed when she decided to abandon her newborn in a yard the same day he was born recently. Missouri, like all of the other 49 states, has provisions which allow parents to safely relinquish their parental rights to a hospital, fire station, or other location depending on the state.
